Preventive Care
Effective oral care begins at home and a dedicated home routine is essential.
Brushing twice every day with a soft toothbrush and a fluoride toothpaste is essential. Use a gentle action and circular strokes, and be sure to brush where the gum meets the tooth.
Flossing at least once a day is standard to remove plaque and food from between the teeth and under the gums.
Forgetting to brush and floss effectively can result in gum disease. Gum disease will eventually cause teeth to become loose and develop abscesses.
